Preparing mentally to maximize your partner retreat and use your time intentionally is essential. Set the stage for a fulfilling and transformative experience:

[ ] Choose a location 1-3 hours away from where you live.
Your environment can set you up for success or failure. At home, chores, neighbors, and our usual routine can distract us. Going somewhere else reduces these distractions and allows you to narrow your focus on each other. If time only permits a single-day retreat, plan your agenda accordingly (don’t pack it full of items you won’t accomplish.)
[ ] Discuss your expectations, desires, and goals for the retreat.
Preparing for the retreat can build excitement and align expectations for the attitudes and conversations you want to bring to it.
